Lenovo Mobile, Qualcomm Ink WCDMA Licensing Agreement

Qualcomm announced on May 8 that it has entered an agreement with Lenovo Mobile, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group, whereby Qualcomm has granted the latter a patent license to develop, manufacture, and sell WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) devices. Lenovo Mobile will be paying the loyalty based on Qulacomm's standard worldwide rates. Qualcomm also announced possibility for teaming up with Lenovo Mobile to develop CDMA devices.
